The Red House at Montofoli Wine Estate is a villa representative of the Greek architecture of the late 19th century. The restoration has preserved the building, a landmark of the estates’ heritage, combining comfort with history.
The Red House is a genuine neoclassical high-ceiling villa with modern facilities. It features a large entrance hall, 2 large bedrooms, one connected to the sitting/media room, 2 marble bathrooms and a large kitchen with handmade-tiled floor. The house can accommodate up to 4 people in comfort plus one or two children in the en-suite sitting/media room.
The Red House unfolds on one level with an impressive entrance hall with Pentelic marble floor. On each side of the hall there are two big bedrooms and one comfortαble sitting/media room with a lounge sofa-bed, all with wooden floors. The interior is carefully decorated in neoclassical style. You will remark the beautiful Murano chandelier and wall lamps in the East bedroom and antique Austrian craftwork chandeliers in the hallway and West bedroom. The windows all around allow for rich natural light throughout the day. The villa has a fully equipped large kitchen with a dining table and an open corner-fireplace, typical of the area. There are 2 stylish marble bathrooms. The Eastern veranda overlooks the large lawn, an ideal space for relaxation or endless playtime for the children. The West terrace features a large stone-table made from the famous Karystian slate, where guests can enjoy their meals or a long drink in the afternoon. A variety of bougainvillea and geraniums enrich the scenery. The deep red colour of the outer walls, as well as, the delightful view to the sea make this the perfect all-day living space for both summer and winter.
