Montofoli Wine Estate, in South Evia, is a family-owned and operated estate. It is so much more than just a vineyard – it is a timeless place, part of the cultural heritage of Greece. Roman, Byzantine, Frankish, Catalan, Venetian, and Ottoman rulers have possessed the estate throughout the long history of Karystos and pointed out its exceptional energy. The buildings already found on the estate when our family acquired it were built in different historical periods and have been restored with great skill and with respect to their own unique history.
We offer hospitality in the four different historical private villas, each decorated in their own style with elegance. The villas have magnificent views of both the Aegean Sea, the vines and the mountain. The Dovecote, the Red House, Villa Amfithea and The Belvedere can each accommodate 5 to 6 people in comfort. Enjoy quiet afternoons with friends and family on the private covered terraces and verandas of each villa where time stops.
In 1986 our father planted a 4 acre Vineyard with Aegean Sea grape varieties: Assyrtiko, Aidani, Athiri and Liatiko, from which we produce our unique dessert wine, Montofoli Estate.
We invite you to feel the unmistakable energy of the people who have lived and worked on Montofoli Wine Estate 4000 years ago!
